It’s completely true—I experienced it firsthand. What they said and what they did were completely different; I was totally deceived. They kept claiming they were building products, but it was all government contract work. The sales team could arbitrarily instruct the engineering department to do things. They talked a big game about architecture but had never implemented anything themselves. Whenever they needed to submit a bid, they would send a bunch of people to work overtime on the 12th floor, putting on a good show for the executives: “Look how seriously we’re working.” Damn it, how many of them were actually doing any work? Thankfully, I left. It was a nightmare.
