Pros

The colleagues get along well, and most employees join the company without experience to gain practical skills. Other than that, there really are no other advantages.

Cons

1. Red Guard system: Make one mistake and you are immediately given a demerit. A colleague in one department was given a demerit and required to attend interviews for a week simply because some data did not match. Another colleague was pressured to produce data by a certain deadline, or receive one demerit every day.

2. No benefits: The salary is really low. Being one minute late results in a NT$1,000 deduction from the perfect-attendance bonus, plus a deduction based on the number of minutes late. Overtime must be applied for in advance, and you can only apply for compensatory leave; each instance of compensatory leave must be taken in four-hour increments. If you do not want to pay visa fees yourself, you must sign a fixed-term employment guarantee. The company pays for external training, but you must also sign a guarantee. There are no bonuses for the three major holidays, only a company tea gift box, and its shelf life is very short. Typhoon days are of course unpaid leave.

3. Repeatedly changing decisions: The company has no mid-level managers, so everything, big or small, must be approved by the general manager. The chairperson and general manager often disagree and do not communicate at all, leaving subordinates unsure whose instructions to follow. The general manager trusts no one, so she likes to test people in many different ways.

4. Disrespectful treatment: When in a bad mood, the general manager reprimands subordinates. She also misremembers things and does not allow subordinates to explain. As a result, there have been departments where everyone resigned, and she felt it made no difference; she even brings it up herself as an achievement???!!

The general manager's current favorite employee interviews staff every day, completely taking the employer's side against employees.

5. Many rules: A work log must be written every day, and there is a personnel interview and performance evaluation once a month. Everything, big or small, must be approved by the general manager—even minor matters such as stationery requests and stamping invoices require her approval.

The environment is becoming increasingly hostile (there is human-shaped surveillance and frequent interviews). I recommend not joining and being used as a plaything.
