1. Sharing an office floor with four or five other companies; shabby.
2. They didn’t know to offer the interviewee water—shabby. (After interviewing with more than a dozen companies, this was the first time I’d encountered something like this.)
3. I was told to sit in the conference room and wait for 20 minutes. Just as I was about to collect my things and leave, they finally came to inform me that the manager’s meeting had been delayed. I then waited more than ten minutes for the manager to arrive. (I admit it was my fault for not leaving!)
4. The manager only asked a colleague to print the interviewee’s résumé after entering the conference room, and only started looking at it during the interview. As a result, they had no mind to listen to the interviewee’s answers and repeatedly asked the same questions, seemingly even thinking their questions were very incisive ^^.
5. Only during the interview did they say that the salary expectation entered by the interviewee was too high (it was written in the job application résumé). The company did not provide travel reimbursement for the interview, so what was the point of making someone come all this way for nothing? A complete waste of both parties’ time! Moreover, the manager stated that the company routinely requires overtime under a “responsibility system”—overtime pay? The Labor Standards Act? Never heard of them ^^.
6. The manager openly stated that they were looking for fresh graduates—the kind who can handle the workload and have no objections to working overtime ^^.
7. From beginning to end, neither the staff member nor the manager who received me stated their identity or even briefly introduced themselves. This was another situation I had never encountered at other companies. Maybe they were actually cleaning staff or someone from the neighboring studio causing trouble, which would explain such a disrespectful interview process?
