Backend engineers at this company need to open an account overseas, which requires US$2,000.

This is not mentioned at all on the careers page.

If they rejected me simply because I lack financial knowledge and do not want to study financial products,

I would have no problem with that, since I was mentally prepared for it before the interview.

But having to spend NT$60,000 to open an account???

I still think it is necessary to make this information public

so that subsequent job applicants do not waste their time.
