Interviewed twice, with different departments.
The advertising department supervisor was pretty good and patient.
The person handling e-commerce for Branch 17 was a young team lead.
They gave me a front-end layout coding test on the spot that day. I didn’t understand what the key factor was in deciding whether someone would be hired or not. Was it enough to complete it quickly within his ideal timeframe?
I thought they would review the code, but they didn’t look at the coding style or semantics either. If I had known that, I wouldn’t have needed to write it in a particularly sophisticated way; just writing something casually would probably have been enough to complete it.
I don’t know whether they hire people they already know more quickly. It was a waste of the applicant’s time.
