There is air conditioning, but it is extremely weak.
The company’s working hours are 8:15–17:45, with a 1.5-hour lunch break (you still have to receive and assist customers if any come in). If you want to take Saturdays off, you have to register in advance; there is a limit of 3–4 people, on a first-come, first-served basis.
The starting salary is 29K, overtime pay is 1,200 per day, and lunch is provided.
There are no days off and no overtime pay for 228 Memorial Day, Labor Day (civil servants do not have the day off, so the company does not give employees the day off), or Double Tenth Day. The supervisor said that next year, 228 Memorial Day and Double Tenth Day might be counted as overtime.
The supervisor said the boss prefers hiring young people under 35.
In short, it is a company that claims verbally to follow the Labor Standards Act, but says that this industry has its own special circumstances.
