The first stage was a phone interview. The HR representative was arrogant and insisted on asking about my current employer, asking why I was applying while still employed and whether that meant I was not strongly motivated to apply.

They repeatedly asked about my previous employer’s salary, benefits, year-end bonus, and various subsidies.

It felt a lot like conducting market research.

It was a very unpleasant phone interview experience.
