Having an employee conduct the interview made it easier to get a more genuine picture of the company’s situation.

1. The interview was scheduled for 10:00, but did not start until around 10:20. The owner did not appear; an employee conducted the interview.

2. The person conducting the interview could not clearly explain the job responsibilities.

3. When salary came up during the interview, they indicated that it was unlikely to reach my current salary.

They said that even they had not reached that salary. My résumé clearly stated my desired salary.

Why ask me to come for an interview only to reject that salary? Doesn’t that make the company look bad?

4. Regarding the bonus portion of the benefits package, when I asked, they said the owner’s requirements were relatively high,

so there was no guarantee that there would be a bonus?

5. It was truly a waste of time.
