The boss is very good at exploiting employees, cutting their overtime pay, which clearly violates the Labor Standards Act. Most employees simply do not know how to fight for their rights. I spoke with the accountant, who also said they could not continue working there; handling the accounts felt like harming their colleagues. The boss is utterly unscrupulous.
The work environment is filled with substances harmful to the body, such as toxic fumes from Styrofoam and fiberglass, but there are hardly any measures to protect employees. People are frequently injured in the studio. It is a high-risk, low-pay job—based on the idea that other people’s children are expendable.
