The boss claims to have returned from the United States and strongly encourages everyone to express their opinions.
Their catchphrase is:
“Based on my experience, the broader perspective from my position, and my seniority in this industry…”
Then they completely dismiss all the opinions everyone had discussed during the hour-long meeting just held.
According to the Labor Standards Act: Employees who have worked for 6 months or more but less than 1 year are entitled to 3 days of annual leave.
If you have been with the company for 9 months, the boss’s logic is: 3 × (9/12) = 2.25, so you are only entitled to 2 and 1/4 days of annual leave.
The boss obtained their previous major case through a relationship with a collateral relative. What they are most proud of is having three people do the work of a 30-person team.
What a 30-person team would accomplish in two months takes them more than a year and a half.
The collateral relative is apparently very happy to allow this level of efficiency;
but the employees below are not allowed to be.
Finally, after opposition from most of the employees, the company owned by this collateral relative decided to replace the system.
