I traveled a long way to attend the interview in heavy wind and rain. After filling out the forms, I waited for more than half an hour before finally entering the interview stage. The person who interviewed me was an older gentleman. No one introduced him, and he did not introduce himself, but he seemed to be the chairman or some other senior executive. From the moment he came in, he looked very unhappy and impatient. He asked me a few questions—no more than three, I think—and then told me I could leave and wait for notification. The entire process was extremely disrespectful. I spent four or five hours on this interview, including half an hour filling out forms and another half hour waiting, only to be asked, “What did you do in your previous job? What does industrial design involve?” That was it?? Please, if your interviews consist of HR finding candidates and the chairman conducting the interviews, then HR should make sure it understands what kind of people the chairman is looking for. Don’t waste each other’s time, and don’t just go through the motions.

The company has a large organizational structure, but the interviewer was quite disrespectful. I suggest that anyone considering attending an interview think twice.
