1. The interviewer was the general manager and showed considerable respect for the interviewee.
2. The employees at the company were quite friendly. When inviting me to the interview, they informed me about the company’s current situation and environment.
1. I did not like that, during the interview, the interviewer deliberately asked about the previous company’s revenue.
(Although both companies are in the retail industry, could you please not deliberately try to extract information?! I personally find this kind of question quite sensitive!)
2. Before the interview, one of the company’s employees mentioned the company’s current situation. Therefore, I paid particular attention during the interview. On the day of the interview, I discovered that there was only one colleague in the office (who appeared to be the secretary or executive assistant to a senior manager). There was not a single sales assistant, and the colleague who called me (she was a sales assistant) seemed to no longer be working there either (because during the interview, the interviewer mentioned that he only needed one sales assistant).
3. Regarding the job duties, although they were described as sales assistant duties, it became clear during the conversation that the sales assistant would also be expected to handle marketing-related tasks.
4. Regarding the salary, one of the company’s employees mentioned that it was quite low (the compensation was not proportional to the work involved, and the employee could also be pressured by the supervisor to take on extra work), but the interviewer did not mention this during the interview.
5. One of the company’s employees mentioned, “This company will close down in October this year.” Job seekers may need to verify this information themselves, because such matters would not be disclosed truthfully during the interview.
