I applied for a sales position at a retail store and discovered that although it is called a biotech company, it is actually a farm@@ (which also has a restaurant). The interviewer said that besides selling skincare products, I would also have to clean the glass tanks used to raise snails, do handicrafts, sweep the grounds, and give tours = ="
They said that a supervisor would guide us at first, but if there was a shortage in the store's cash, the retail staff working that day would have to cover it themselves. However, when I toured the store, I found that it did not even have theft-detection sensors, and employees were freely going in and out of the counter area......
The interviewer also said that because they are a small company, everyone helps one another, so:
If the restaurant is busy, I would have to go help; if the farm is busy, I would also have to go help, and on top of that, I would have to kill snails =.=
They also said that the company strongly encourages employees to learn. If I were willing to learn more about posting on Facebook and selling things online to increase my value, there would be a “chance” of getting a raise.
As for the compensation~ the starting salary is in accordance with the Labor Standards Act, with 8 days off per month. I would definitely have to work on public holidays, and there is no overtime pay under the so-called responsibility system. (If a customer comes in just before closing, I would have to stay until the customer left; the interviewer added that this was not a regular occurrence, so not to worry.)
That was enough for me to say goodbye to this company, of course.
