3. A Taiwanese-style multinational company; it’s okay if your spoken English isn’t very good.
For an information systems analyst role at this kind of hardware manufacturer:
1. Taiwan is merely a colony of the U.S. headquarters. Middle managers and IT engineers from the U.S. boss Taiwanese employees around. Although both sides are Chinese, they were hired in the U.S. simply because they couldn’t find good jobs there.
2. The company’s internal systems look very low-end (but they have all the necessary functions).
3. A very poor corporate culture.
4. What does this kind of hardware manufacturer need systems analysts for? Will joining meet your expectations, or will you merely be doing odd jobs for your manager? Think it through carefully.
