The senior boss in the investment department is a very nice person, and the department manager is not bad either. There are opportunities to learn.
There are opportunities to learn, but basically, because new hires have so many miscellaneous tasks, they have no time to learn during working hours and are expected to work overtime on their own, because the senior employees work overtime too!! This is called normal, got it?
Impressions: The senior boss in the investment department is very nice, and the other bosses are not bad either, but the work is simply extremely demanding. The salary is not top-tier in the investment industry, yet sadly HR only says that we are at the industry average. However, the top boss requires employees' abilities and output to be aligned with international standards. Overtime is the norm, and not receiving overtime pay is also the norm. Even HR often works overtime, so what do you think? Basically, you need to have passion for the work to stay here in the long term. Otherwise, the salary is acceptable, but the workload is heavy, the hours are long, interaction among colleagues is limited because everyone is busy, and opportunities for advancement are limited. Salary increases are limited, there are only so many positions, and you also have to work hard, put in overtime, and work hard to please your superiors to have a chance. There are just a tiny bit more days off than at general companies. Taking leave should not be too difficult, although your colleagues may make sarcastic comments about it, so you need to maintain a balanced mindset yourself.
Overall, it is better than some but not as good as others.
