1. Inspect, maintain, and repair the mechanical/electrical equipment used in production.

2. Inspect, maintain, and repair the water, electricity, gas, and compressed-air supply systems.

3. Plan, maintain, and repair production equipment control systems.

Review:

A typical company with a Japanese exterior and Taiwanese foundation. Because it is invested in by a Japanese company, it is branded as Japanese-owned. The compensation system follows Japanese-company regulations and guarantees 13 months of annual salary, including a one-month year-end bonus. However, under the Japanese system, this one-month year-end bonus is divided into 0.5 months and paid in July and December, respectively. There are bonuses for the three major holidays, Labor and Health Insurance, a one-hour lunch break, and a 10-minute afternoon break. Lunch is fully subsidized by the company. In the evening, you must cooperate with the production line, and work may continue until midnight. On-call duties are required. Staff from the Japanese headquarters visit the plant for an inspection approximately once a month and point out areas for improvement. This plant facilities/electrical/mechanical position requires proficiency in all of these areas; it is not a role where you can apply with experience in just one of them. At present, no one supports this position, meaning that you have to figure things out yourself when problems arise. There are no senior employees to train you or assist with troubleshooting and repairs. The site is like a steel fabrication factory, and this is an all-purpose position requiring the ability to repair solenoid valves, pneumatic cylinders, electrical control panels, air-compressor systems, machine tools, water and electrical systems, gas systems, control systems, and more. Inexperienced applicants should not apply because there is no one to learn from. At least five years of experience as a senior plant-facilities technician is recommended for this position.
