A family-owned company; family members occupy one-third of the positions, and the colleagues are easy to get along with.
Company policies change from day to day. The only thing that never changes is the company benefits policy: no holiday bonuses or gifts for the three major festivals!! No company trips!! The year-end bonus is given at the company's discretion and is not necessarily calculated based on one month's salary. The employee traits favored by the company are: no complaining, no discussion, no taking leave, no interest in holiday bonuses or gifts for the three major festivals, no asking for benefits, no requesting overtime pay, only punishment and no rewards, not listening to advice, relying on conventional wisdom, and putting salary first—but the wages offered are often not particularly high.
When there is a problem, instead of finding a way to solve it, they hold aimless meetings. They often talk about irrelevant matters, and from time to time ask you to come over just before the end of the workday, causing your departure time to be delayed by about 30–60 minutes. The main speaker is the business owner (or owners, I hear). After listening to the lengthy speech, you only need to nod and say yes, because there is fundamentally no point!! Afterwards, you may find yourself wondering, “What exactly did I just listen to?” and start questioning your working life???
