Human Resources proactively invited me to apply for a quotation management position, but the requirements listed on the 104 website (knowledge of internal controls and IFRS) were completely inconsistent with what the interviewing manager required (the manager claimed that this had not been written that way). In addition, the interviewing manager only briefly explained one job duty. When I further asked whether the position required analyzing cost figures, the manager replied, “I’m not telling you...” The interview consisted of the manager repeatedly bargaining down the salary and saying that they did not recognize my qualifications, then asking the applicant whether they wanted to continue the discussion under those circumstances. It is very likely that HR was simply using me to meet performance targets. The position requires a master’s degree and three years of work experience, but the salary is less than 40,000. In short, it was a waste of the applicant’s time.
