The supervisor is quite nice and willing to listen to employees’ opinions. Employees in the same department help one another. There are occasional bonuses each quarter (not sure whether every unit gets them), and there is an opportunity to have a group meal every few months.
There is a flexible 15-minute grace period for clocking in, so you don’t have to rush too much. If the workload can be coordinated, taking leave is generally quite easy.
The salary is average. It’s acceptable for fresh graduates, but a bit too low for people who have been working for several years. This should be negotiated clearly during the interview; otherwise, if you politely name a low salary, that is what you’ll end up earning.
The workload is heavy. Before you finish the old tasks, new ones keep coming. Although overtime is not mandatory, the work is never-ending, and some tasks have deadlines that must be met. The pressure is very high, so it’s difficult not to work overtime. You spend almost the entire day racing against time, and there is no overtime pay.
Most of the nearby food options are on the expensive side, and anything more affordable is a bit of a distance away.
