1. The salary is considered quite good for southern Taiwan; starting pay is NT$28,000, and the Lunar New Year bonus is NT$10,000 if nothing unexpected happens.
2. If nothing unexpected happens and performance is good enough, the employee trip is overseas.
3. Salaries are paid on the last working day of each month, rather than being delayed until the 5th or 10th.
4. The company is located downtown, next to a busy commercial area, so the location is very convenient.
1. The actual atmosphere in the company's workplace is very strange. No one communicates or talks during work hours; everyone uses Skype instead (P.S. the office is very small). People work independently, and it is as quiet as a library—you can even hear a pin drop (no exaggeration). There is also very little connection among colleagues, making it feel like working with a group of robots.
2. The boss has severe cleanliness and obsessive-compulsive issues and loves to nag. They even control where the scrubber is placed. They are also extremely self-righteous and look down on young people, often saying that younger workers are “strawberry generation”—not serious and difficult to train. (But this company can only afford to hire young people. Quite something.)
3. The workload is large and miscellaneous. There is no overtime pay, and employees are forced to clock in before 6:20 p.m. because the company may be inspected by the labor authorities. After clocking out, however, employees continue staying to work.
4. The company is very good at making grand promises. Whether it is the boss or the supervisors, what they say during interviews is different from reality after you start working. Many benefits look good on paper but are never actually received. Even though the position is in sales, there is no sales commission.
That’s all—four pros and four cons each. If you can overcome the drawbacks, feel free to come take on the challenge~
