Flexible break times, fairly free
No labor and health insurance. Even though the company has more than five employees, it does not report employees for coverage.
Various assignments requiring business travel (never mentioned during the interview).
Uses a lot of pleasant-sounding language to package “expecting everyone to take the initiative to stay late and work overtime,” without paying overtime or providing compensatory time off.
Does not clearly explain the company’s policies. When I proactively asked about policy-related matters (salary adjustment methods and insurance), I was instead seen as caring only about money and wanting to do an easy job while getting paid comfortably. In reality, they simply had no plans themselves and could not answer.
I was often asked to go out and buy things, but they never showed any intention of reimbursing transportation or fuel costs. I even had to pay out of pocket, sometimes advancing NT$2,000 in a week.
Truly outrageous—they seriously delay salary payments.
They use “the bank is processing it” or “the boss is away on a business trip” as excuses, and the payment is always delayed by three days, or even a week at times. They also sometimes underpay me.
The boss is extremely moody.
