Getting along with colleagues and supervisors is okay.
A typical boss from southern Taiwan who berates employees as if they were dogs.
Smokes in the office. When a pregnant employee made a request, the response was, “Although the air conditioning is on, I allow you to open the window.”
No matter how busy you are, you still have to walk the boss’s dog and buy lunch.
Finds excuses to dock employees’ pay—for example, deducting $500 because mold was found at the bottom of a coffee-ground-filled ashtray, etc.
No overtime pay. On typhoon days, you’re required to go to the office to confirm whether the power is really out and you’re unable to work.
