1. No dedicated receptionist was arranged, leaving the interviewee unsure what to do
The woman A on the left upon entering was talking to woman C, while everyone in the offices ahead was using computers. Woman A said to find someone inside, but it was unclear whom to look for.
2. They requested a paper résumé and also required another one in their own format; the résumé content invaded privacy
Woman B, who wore glasses, took me to the basement B1 (next to the photo studio), where a man was already reviewing and scoring forms. First, I had to fill in personal information. The questions were extremely detailed (school attended, previous company’s address and salary, parents’ ages and occupations, interests, whether I planned to get married or have children within a year, and a headshot section, to which I attached a photo with a paper clip). The main issue was that the fields were extremely small and very inhumane......
3. The personality test was too time-consuming
I also had to take the “Fourteen Heart Sign Personality Test” (with categories such as buffalo and peacock). Halfway through, the male colleague in the photo studio kept chatting and joking around with the female colleague wearing glasses, and they continued for quite a while⋯. The personality test should be administered as a computer questionnaire. It had 125 questions in total, and I also had to calculate the score myself. In the end, it took an hour to complete.
4. The interviewer was not the supervisor of the relevant department, and the job description was glossed over
Before I had finished filling in the personal information, woman A said she would take a look first and asked, “Why did you leave your previous job?” The interviewer was not the supervisor of the department I would belong to, and only briefly introduced the job duties and company benefits.

6. I still had to have a second interview with the direct supervisor, which felt like a waste of the interviewee’s time.
