- Late start time
- Convenient company location
- Colleagues are easy to get along with
- Free drinks
- The supervisor is highly subjective, and rewards and punishments are based entirely on his personal biases. He is basically an emperor in his own little kingdom.
- Other than learning how to operate the system and open the combination lock, during my more than six months at this company I received no comprehensive training at all for other editorial or related duties.
- During my first six months at the company, I was never asked to attend a meeting except for contract signing and interviews, yet I heard from other colleagues that the supervisor was dissatisfied with me. The company usually has only around 12–16 employees—why can’t a small company communicate directly? I was not even given a chance to explain myself face-to-face.
- There is no year-end bonus. Since I work away from home, I’m always worried that my parents will be disappointed when I give them a red envelope for the New Year.
