1. Extremely high employee turnover
2. No investment in any equipment (e.g., they recruit a graphic designer but provide no software, and the computers are so outdated that opening a webpage takes two minutes)
3. No overtime pay
4. No matter how late it is, the boss expects you to reply to messages
5. In addition to dealing with the boss himself, the boss’s son and some people who do not work at the company and whose identities are unclear will also order you around, yet refuse to take responsibility for what they say
6. This year’s year-end bonus was approximately 0.2 months’ salary
Summary:
During the interview, the boss painted an overly rosy picture, telling you how high the company’s revenue was and how much they needed you. The initial salary offer was also fairly good, and he said the company had excellent benefits, there would be no overtime, and that even if overtime was required, it would be paid. He also said the salary could be adjusted later.
But! It was all a lie! No one has ever received overtime pay, and it won’t be long before you are dismissed for allegedly lacking the necessary abilities.
