睿晟文理語文短期補習班
Pros

It’s genuinely quite enjoyable interacting with the students because I find the children very cute.

Cons

Seeing that they are now recruiting an elementary school after-school care teacher and offering a salary of NT$30K–45K, it is indeed quite a high offer, but I can’t help feeling puzzled, since when I joined, they were only willing to offer NT$22K.

They claim to be a cram school that does not hit students, but I saw the director scolding students several times, and it always felt humiliating. On one occasion, the director even pretended to pick up an iron chair to smash someone, and I also saw the director throw exam papers on the floor and make students come to the front to pick them up. I often felt sorry for the students.

Perhaps they want to create the impression that all the students taught by the cram school achieve excellent grades. After parents inquire about enrollment because they want their children to attend, the director will come to the class and ask the students whether they know “Wang XX,” then ask how that student is doing academically. The director says that only students with good grades will be accepted; if a student in the class has poor grades, it is also fine if the parents are dissatisfied, because “only after removing the bad apples can you make room for more good apples.”

During my time there, the teachers who joined one after another never stayed long, and the turnover was extremely high. Although offering NT$30K–45K is genuinely good compensation for an after-school care teacher, after working there, you may feel that you would not want to work in such an environment even with that salary.
