The woman who conducted the interview at the beginning was very polite, but later the other party asked someone who I didn’t know was the owner or a supervisor to come in (they said that the owner and supervisor happened to be there, but the person did not introduce themselves at all). They asked a bunch of questions unrelated to the job and made arbitrary comments, while nothing that should have been discussed—salary, benefits, and so on—was mentioned. They asked how old my parents were when they retired and where my younger brother worked. When I replied that I wasn’t sure where he worked, they commented that my family must have a poor relationship. Because there was a gap of less than two months between my first two jobs, they said it was because I couldn’t find work. I don’t know whether they were trying to drive down the salary or simply always speak that way; in any case, it wasn’t a very good interview experience.
