Cons

Two-thirds of the company's workforce consists of foreign workers because local employees cannot stay for long. Overtime is paid to indirect employees only if they are favored by management. If you clock out at 5:01, the boss will berate you at the weekly meeting. The company also openly tells employees: “When company regulations conflict with the Labor Standards Act, company regulations take precedence.” When labor inspectors come to issue fines, the company would rather accept the fines than make improvements.

The sales manager claims to be here to build a career and says he does not care how much he is paid, while likewise demanding that subordinates not care about their pay either. He claims to be capable of finding new clients, yet is unable to convert them into business results for the company. In the two years since joining, company performance has declined compared with before his arrival, but he does not think this reflects a lack of ability on his part; instead, he blames subordinates for not finding new clients quickly enough.

The boss always uses the company's small size as an excuse to make one person do the work of two or three people. For example, an accounting assistant also handles graphic design, while a sales assistant also handles purchasing and warehouse management.
