During the interview, I saw at the entrance that a meeting was just taking place inside, so I felt bad about disturbing them and didn’t ring the doorbell. I waited outside for a while.
When the meeting ended, a somewhat chubby woman happened to walk to the entrance, saw me, and told me to come in.
Later, while I was filling out my résumé outside, I heard her say to the others inside that I was very strange and that I hadn’t even rung the doorbell while waiting outside.
She said things like, “The interviewee saw that there were people having a meeting inside, so they felt bad about ringing the doorbell. How strange,” and so on.
It left me feeling very uncomfortable.
