1. The colleagues are quite young on average (in their 20s to early 30s), and the atmosphere is harmonious.
2. The boss encourages employees to pursue self-improvement, and the company also provides subsidies.
3. There are always snacks to eat.
4. Work is relatively flexible; no one constantly watches to see whether you are slacking off.
1. I don't know whether it was intentional, but during the "interview" they never mentioned that I had to bring my own computer or sign a contract requiring a minimum commitment of one year. I thought I had simply missed it, but when I asked other colleagues, they all said they only found out on their first day of employment.
2. They call themselves a startup, but aside from training subsidies and snacks, there are hardly any benefits (there is no year-end bonus, and they even tout having three days of annual leave after six months⋯), nor is there much freedom. Many rules and ways of working are controlled by management, which is very old-fashioned and stingy.
3. Overtime only qualifies for overtime pay if it exceeds two hours. Overtime on holidays cannot be exchanged for money; you can only take compensatory time off.
