Q. Why do you want to work here? Do you want this job?
If you want to learn, it is a good opportunity. Having the right attitude is quite important to them.
Q. During your work, what setbacks have you encountered? How did you adjust?
You need to think carefully about this because they want interviewees who are cheerful, optimistic, positive, and able to handle pressure. The supervisor said this is very important.
The company often requires overtime, and they operate under a responsibility-based work system.
The company benefits are:
1. Labor and health insurance, plus group insurance
2. Working hours: 8:00–17:00 (but under the responsibility-based system, the leaving time is not fixed)
3. Employee cafeteria (lunch is free; in addition to providing free lunch, they also subsidize lunch expenses)
4. Leave in accordance with the Labor Standards Act; two days off per week
5. Employee uniforms
6. Year-end bonuses and gifts for the three major festivals
The salary system is graded according to ability.
Approximately NT$24,000 (Grade 1–3) to NT$35,000 (Grade X–X)
The environment is good.
The company does not calculate overtime pay (only production-line personnel receive it).
For general positions, overtime pay is only available after submitting a request for approval; otherwise, it is assessed based on performance and included in the year-end bonus (overtime may last from 17:30 to 19:30 or 20:00; it is not fixed).
The year-end bonus is paid according to performance evaluations.
The supervisor said he usually locks up after everyone else and leaves at 20:30 every day.
He also asks some quick-thinking questions to test the interviewee’s reactions (they are not difficult).
Because the company does not have cleaning staff, employees from different departments take turns serving as the duty department for one week at a time, including helping to serve food.
During that week, there may be no lunch break. There is a five-minute break during the morning downtime and another five-minute break during the afternoon downtime.
You need to be able to handle pressure and remain optimistic!
Because of the overtime issue, when the supervisor asked me about it, I said I might need to consider it.
Therefore, I had some reservations about the company.
They strongly emphasized that overtime would be frequent and asked whether I could accept that.
