Couldn't think of any
I previously applied for a job through a government agency. When I called, the HR representative was very casual in her attitude, but I didn't think much of it and still scheduled an interview. When I arrived, the HR representative left me waiting inside while she stood at the entrance chatting with company employees about company matters (just unimportant small talk). After a while, she went to ask the department manager to interview me. The male manager directly told me verbally that they would basically hire me, and that he needed to report to the chairman, who would call me before 10 the next day. However, I never received a call. I thought I might have been stood up, but because I desperately needed a job, I still reluctantly called them. The HR representative said she hadn't received any information from the manager about hiring me. She said she would ask again and call me back, but then I never heard anything. What a terrible company. Later, I reported the matter to the vocational training center. The staff member, clearly frustrated, called the HR representative on the spot and asked directly whether they intended to hire me. Unexpectedly, the representative even asked, “Why do you need to ask that?” She finally said that the chairman was abroad and they would not know until the next day. The staff member said that the representative's attitude toward her was basically the same. She said she would send me a text message once she knew, but I figured it was probably over. Sure enough, the next day the staff member messaged me to say that the company had decided not to hire me. I had thought that finding a job through a government agency would offer a little more protection, but this was truly ridiculous. If you weren't going to hire me, just say so! People are desperately looking for work—are you playing with them? From beginning to end, this was simply a very impolite company. If they treat job applicants this way, what can they possibly be expected to do for their employees?
BTW, the salary for the operator position I applied for was a little over NT$20,000.
