Interviewed for an HR position at Showtime Cinemas.

(A vacancy that has been open for a year and still hasn’t been filled.)

As soon as the recruitment manager came in, without introducing the company or the position, they asked the interviewee to introduce themselves and then began attacking their body shape.

They even asked the interviewee how old they thought they looked and whether they had ever had children.

Guess whether the manager themselves is 30 years old?

(You look 45 yourself, yet you dare ask whether someone is 30.)

The manager is thin, while the interviewee is fat—what would other people think?

Fat people look unprofessional and lacking in energy!

Have you ever thought about losing weight? Have you made an effort to lose weight?

The half-hour interview focused entirely on appearance;

not a single question was asked about anything on the résumé!

I never expected that in my lifetime I would encounter such an unprofessional HR person.

It is people like this in HR who bring down the standing of the HR profession!

If Showtime Cinemas ever runs its business poorly one day, the owner should consider whether it is because they have a recruitment manager like this!
