(1) You can really just show up for an interview from 0900 to 1300, Monday through Friday. After completing the written test, the interview is conducted individually. Having a COSTCO right across the street is really great!
(2) They honestly tell you the detailed estimated salary (monthly and annual) and benefits upfront (see the next column for details).
(3) The applicant questionnaire already states whether you agree to have your days off occupied by training and further education, and whether you agree to report to work on typhoon days. (In other words, if you don't check the consent box, you naturally won't be hired.)
(4) No shift rotation is required. You work either a fixed day shift (0720–1920) or night shift (1920–0720). Also, according to the interviewer, overtime is now uncommon, meaning you really work three days on and three days off, rather than it eventually becoming four on and two off. (In my experience, jobs that initially say the schedule is normally four on and two off or two on and two off usually turn out to be five on and one off or three on and one off.)
(1) The entire interview process is extremely time-consuming. The estimated 0900–1100 timeframe is simply impossible. I attended the 9 a.m. session, and the whole process did not finish until after noon (there were only 6–7 people in my session). In addition, they wanted us to continue with an on-site tour or something in the afternoon, but after I asked about the salary and benefits and found them very unsatisfactory, I decided not to play along (only two people were interested in continuing with the afternoon itinerary, which reportedly started at 1400 or 1500).
(2) As usual, they only tell you the salary and benefits after asking for your detailed personal information and about your entire family background. The day-shift monthly salary is 24,500, with an annual salary of approximately 420,000 (this is the figure for a guaranteed annual salary of 16 months @@); there are currently no openings for the night shift, but I recall the monthly salary being listed as 26,000–28,000, with an annual salary of 460,000–480,000 (also based on a guaranteed 16-month annual salary).
If you want this job, you should seriously think it over.
