No news for two weeks after the interview... HR only called later to say that they were on leave, and the manager was also on leave, so the date for the second interview would have to be arranged depending on the circumstances. It was obvious as soon as I heard it that this was just a polite excuse. It felt like they probably weren't in much need of staff.
