After the interview... the content suggested by the HR representative who claimed to have "20 years of work experience" confirmed my own value... I realized that I was more capable than the manager who came to interview me.
The hiring manager who participated in the interview kept repeating himself on strange points... and the questions had absolutely nothing to do with the responsibilities of the advertised position... They did not ask about the truly necessary professional or important job duties at all, and kept emphasizing tasks at an "operator-level"... Only later did I learn that the manager had also just joined the company and seemed to be completely unfamiliar with the job responsibilities... They had to listen to the "consultant" about everything, even though the consultant's opinions were obviously impractical... Yet the manager still insisted on following them... It felt like they had no opinions of their own.
