The relationships among colleagues are good.

There is no designated lunch break. When you get hungry, you have to go eat on your own, and if you want to sleep when you come back, you cannot because it is too busy.

Work often continues until midnight. If you cannot finish your work, you have to take it home. When a proposal is due on Monday or Tuesday after a weekend, you have to work overtime on the holiday.

There is also no overtime pay or compensatory time off (holiday events do come with compensatory time off). Proposal bonuses are so small that you barely notice them, despite the company constantly claiming that it is very generous.

This is a company that cannot retain its employees. It specifically recruits socially inexperienced newcomers with a strong willingness to endure hardship. Turnover is very high—the kind of place where the entire workforce can be reshuffled after just one year.

There is no training. For things you do not know how to do, you are expected to look at templates from previous work. If you make a mistake, you are harshly told, “Usually, this is how it should be done.”

Each person is responsible for more than one project. You may be pulled away to work on a proposal in the middle of something else. As you can imagine, it is very difficult to do things well; simply finishing them is already an achievement.
