You can play music you like with your coworkers during work, and complain about the boss together after work.
Being late for work results in a fine. After work, you almost always work from 7 to 11 (there is no overtime pay, and you have to buy dinner yourself and bring it back to continue working).
You have to clock out when going out during lunch break. The boss can cut into your break time, and if you’re late coming back, your pay is still deducted.
In his view, making a mistake at work means deducting NT$50–200 from your pay (NT$50 for things like uploading the wrong image or problems with delisted products, etc., even when there is no actual loss to the company) / (NT$200 for sending the wrong goods to a customer, but he still charges NT$200 for the package’s round-trip shipping, so he considers it a profit).
He says the money deducted as fines will be used to buy drinks every week to make up for it (he forces you to drink them; if you don’t, he pockets the deducted wages himself).
When short-staffed, he says he will give you a raise, but once a new employee comes in for a one-day trial, he automatically deducts the money.
He often angers customers and makes employees clean up the mess. He even threatens customers and contacts the Ruten platform to reduce negative reviews.
When less mainstream toy products have problems or defects, he is incapable of handling the follow-up properly. You might as well go directly to Sanxián to buy from the distributor, lol.
If you want to buy products from “Abnormal Toy Research Center,” beware of potential pitfalls.
