30 days of paid sick leave per year, with unlimited drinks and snacks
A fake multinational company with relatively low salaries. The job duties do not involve much specialized knowledge or technical expertise.
The technical threshold is not high, yet during interviews they test a lot of textbook knowledge. After starting the job, you discover that the interviewers themselves only have a superficial understanding. Not only are these skills rarely used at work, but you also cannot learn technical skills from the job.
There is no personal space. A few managers come over from time to time to see what you are doing.
The culture of flattering superiors is strong. Some colleagues raise their own status in front of managers by putting others down, and often try to pin their own mistakes on other colleagues.
Although it is a multinational company, some managers and colleagues have poor English, so communication often feels like two people talking past each other.
Management does not understand the technical details. Employee performance should not be determined by the number of cases handled. Some people specialize in simple, minor tasks and make them sound far more impressive than they are, yet have no ability to analyze or complete complex tasks. However, managers give these people high evaluations because they complete a large number of cases, and even ask other employees to take them as examples.
A few managers do not even have the ability to manage cases. All cases already have tracking records on the website, and every update is notified by email, but managers still require everyone to compile and report their progress for the day before leaving work. In practice, this seems to be helping managers organize information so they can show it to senior management and take credit.
When an employee decides to leave the company, it does not mean that the employee is ungrateful or disloyal; it means that the company failed to retain them. Holding a review meeting, collecting everyone’s anonymous complaints, and then rebutting them one by one is an eye-opening approach.
The management style is inefficient. Most case progress is clearly recorded in emails, and any issues can be checked on the website. Managers should not interrupt employees at their desks every time they think of a question. If something can be done independently, employees should not be interrupted. There are often matters for which the answer can be found in less than a minute, yet managers are unwilling to do so themselves and instead interrupt employees to demand an answer. If they cannot understand English, they should look it up themselves rather than interpreting it according to their own assumptions and then arguing with employees.
If you really cannot find another job or urgently need an income, it is not the worst choice. However, many employees have recently left, so I recommend finding out the reasons first before making a decision.
