The interview was held at the Taichung employment counseling office, with two interviewers, one man and one woman. Although the woman appeared easygoing, she did not seem very serious about recruiting. After a brief self-introduction, they asked some personal questions, and halfway through my answers they would interrupt and shoot me down. In the end, they said something like, “Shouldn’t you understand the format of each shopping mall?” It seemed like they thought we didn’t really understand the job duties. I thought, “Aren’t you the ones getting off topic?” You hadn’t even talked about the job; everything was about personal matters. They also said, “We’ve both worked in the department-store industry for over ten years.” So what?! Maybe Taichung Showtime’s performance has continued to be poor because of people like you. People who go to Showtime are mostly there to watch movies… what else would they be there for?! Besides, the position was a marketing specialist, but the base salary was only NT$26,000, with no overtime pay. All in all, after the interview I really wanted to hit them!
