1. The company’s office is very luxurious; it feels like a company situated inside a luxury mansion.
2. You can experience life here—it will absolutely teach you what human nature’s viciousness is like.
If you don’t have strong enough psychological resilience, don’t like forming factions, don’t know how to put on an act, don’t know how to flatter the boss, can only get things done but don’t know how to show it, don’t know how to slack off during work hours, or don’t know how to talk big... if you have any of these symptoms, please think very carefully about whether you want to join this company.
After I left and worked somewhere else for a while, looking back on the experience, I really... There is an underground general manager here whose English name starts with T (the head of the Commerce... Department). If you don’t integrate into her faction, life will be very difficult.
You really see every aspect of life at this company. Several managers here (including T) constantly complain in private about the company, the boss, the junior boss... and then act extremely deferential in front of the boss. One second they’re cursing and slamming a mouse, and the next, when the boss walks over, they use an extremely coquettish voice to ask how the boss is doing. Although I was in a different department, I also saw this huge contrast. It made me lament that I’m just not good enough at acting~~
She (T) showed me what slacking off really means: playing mobile games and watching YouTube videos during work, and for a while even doing handicrafts—discussing whom to prepare gifts for during working hours... Sometimes I would walk over to their department to ask about something and see this scene. I was stunned. This wasn’t ordinary slacking off; it was practically fishing for whales or great white sharks!!
They often fish for great white sharks during work, yet their daily work reports are still filled to the brim. Then they pretend to care about what other departments are doing, stick their noses into everything, and claim that they helped the department with this or that. In reality, they only said a few pointless words, while constantly刷存在感 throughout the company. If you have this skill—making the boss feel as if you do a lot and help the company tremendously—you have a very good chance of becoming a manager here. Then the managers also accuse one another of being fake while going around刷存在感. Those of us underneath them hear all this and are speechless. The pot calling the kettle black; the one who walks fifty steps laughs at the one who walks a hundred—it really is exactly like that.
She and the other managers put on a daily show of *The Empresses in the Palace*—they compete with one another to flatter and curry favor with the boss and junior boss. In private, they keep talking about how the company is, how the boss is, how the junior boss is, and so on, until you think they’re about to leave any day now. If you think that, you’re mistaken. According to former colleagues who are still employed there, they’re all still there.... And they’re doing just fine.
The boss and junior boss like people who are good at expressing themselves. Unfortunately, they lack subtlety and seem unable to see employees who quietly work hard. So if you’re someone who doesn’t know how to talk big, who isn’t the type to do one unit of work and claim to have done three, or who isn’t the type to speak to the boss in an extremely coquettish voice, you can really come here to develop these skills. There are master-level experts here to teach by example.
There’s actually much more, far too much to list. But seeing is believing, so come experience it for yourself; otherwise, everything you hear from others is just hearsay. Experiencing life here yourself is what really counts.
