Operates at the minimum standards required by the Labor Standards Act, but does not break the law
I was demoted to a line leader and forced out. I previously worked at the Qianzhen plant in Kaohsiung, whose name was YuanXiang.
1. New hires are initially assigned to fill out work orders, but if their work allocation does not align with the senior manager’s wishes, they are demoted to line leader; if they cannot perform as a line leader, they are demoted to operator. Although the pay does not change, this is used to make you feel aggrieved and increase and complicate your workload until you leave.
2. Senior managers personally involve themselves in everything and frequently rearrange production lines. They also estimate working hours based only on the highest-volume workload; if you do not finish after the production line is adjusted, it is considered your fault.
3. On top of that, department supervisors will then step forward and compete to take responsibility, seemingly to demonstrate their sense of responsibility. But if they had raised the issue with the senior managers beforehand, wouldn’t there have been no problem? In short, this is a scene that plays out almost every day.
4. Senior managers are highly suspicious, assuming that new employees secretly work overtime or slack off. Their criterion is whether the work was finished by the scheduled time. Please refer to point 2 above.
5. If you take a long-term view of the company, sales are low despite high throughput, and it continues producing inventory despite already having a large stockpile. Do you think the company has a vision? 2017 was a critical turning point.
In short, there are so many problems that I could never finish describing them all. If you live nearby, you could give it a try, but if you are not from this area and are thinking of applying, you might be better off calling Teacher Zhang—there may be something slightly better available. Even if you apply for a line leader position without experience managing a production line, they will still be quite willing to hire you.
