Mao the brat says: Being good at flattering is also a kind of ability. I’m good at it—I can talk about Laozi’s Dao De Jing, the Records of the Three Kingdoms, and other people’s shortcomings; I have a bad temper and a poor memory; I can loudly scold subordinates, kiss up to those above me, treat people like disposable tableware, pretend to know what I don’t, divide the organization, and spread word that other companies are trying to poach me. That’s how I managed to bamboozle the boss into offering me a monthly salary of 200,000 and putting me in a position second only to the boss and above everyone else.
The boss says: When one person attains enlightenment, even the chickens and dogs ascend to heaven. You have to be obedient to become a boss. I don’t need you to help me make money—I’m already very rich. You have to run Zhaoyin as if it were your own business. I only want obedient employees. People with brains and ideas who aren’t obedient aren’t suitable for my company; I’ll ask you to leave.
The boss’s favorite: I don’t need to know these technical skills. I only need to be able to talk and speak persuasively—to turn black into white.
There are so many misdeeds they could never all be written down…
Those who can do the work get worked to death. Those who can’t enjoy themselves to death. What do you call this? The capable are burdened with more work.
