Pros

The interviews were pretty good at first, and the boss was polite. Even when mistakes were made at work, it was fine and no one was reprimanded.

Cons

At first, the boss made everything sound very good.

But really, just take it with a grain of salt. After carefully calculating it, the salary actually seems to be lower than the wage required by the Labor Standards Act. The company employees are also difficult to get along with, especially a Ms. Yang, who is notoriously good at making things difficult for employees. The boss does not handle matters either, and leaves everything to Ms. Yang.

The work assigned by Ms. Yang is also not very clear (because she is extremely emotional). Of course, if an employee makes a mistake, it is the employee's responsibility. Ms. Yang also assigns work based heavily on her mood, and even bullies longtime employees relentlessly (I genuinely think she is the boss's wife, but apparently she is not). Setting these emotional issues and the lack of a complete work system aside, there is absolutely no opportunity for a salary increase in this job. Even the basic working hours are 08:00–18:00.

The lunch break is only one hour. Employees are required to take a 1.5-hour break only when Labor Standards Act inspectors come for an inspection that day. In addition, group insurance should basically be paid by the company, but the cost is indeed deducted from employees' salaries. With deductions here and there, the base salary does not comply with the Labor Standards Act. The work environment is also extremely dirty—even the bags of Lian Hwa flour are made here—and there are fleas in the factory. It is truly terrifying.
