As soon as I entered the office for the interview, I thought it was very nice, and the interviewer was also pleasant.
Although the office is relatively nice, there is absolutely no privacy. Based on what the interviewer said about this illustration position, I felt that the people at the top simply believed Taiwanese employees were relatively inexpensive, which was why they systematically transferred technical work from Xiamen to Taiwan. However, the company is not short of money, because they hired a recruitment agency to help find suitable employees. When I stated my desired salary, the interviewer seemed extremely reluctant, so apparently they cannot afford to pay the salary offered by foreign companies. I also think requiring a written test is likely to reduce applicants’ willingness to apply—especially since they are looking for an illustrator, yet the job requirements call for someone with animation technology experience!? These are different fields, and I think this is simply the wrong approach to recruiting.
