Nothing particularly good or bad; just sharing information about interviewing for a store staff position:
1. Salary: 23,000 (before labor and health insurance deductions)
2. Labor and health insurance are not provided on the first day of employment; they will be arranged within about a week
3. The job involves lifting heavy items (diapers, powdered milk, etc.), and the interviewer will emphasize this point repeatedly beforehand
4. Eight days off per month; eight days are full-day shifts, and the remaining days are rotating shifts. The rotation is one month of morning shifts (9:30–18:30) followed by one month of afternoon/evening shifts (13:30–22:30). The salary for a month with afternoon/evening shifts seems to be about 1,000 higher
5. At first, you will be assigned to a larger branch for training. After completing the training, you will be transferred back to the originally agreed-upon workplace
6. Performance bonuses, if any, are paid every six months
The interview contact person apparently had not told the other people at the store in advance that someone would be coming for an interview. Although I arrived on time, I had to wait quite a while before the interview was arranged.
