Overall, the company is pretty much as the commenter below described (basically, the employees are all deeply disgruntled). I’ll just add some information that wasn’t mentioned below.

New employees don’t get paid if they haven’t worked for at least three days, so if you want to resign early, be careful about the number of days worked. (That’s the only way to get paid.)

When resigning, remember to first request the labor and health insurance transfer-out certificate; otherwise, the HR staff member won’t mail it to you, and you’ll have to pick it up in person. (You may need it for your next job.)

There are approximately 8–10 people in the office area, but I only saw about 3 or 4 people wearing uniforms (formal employees). (For a company that has been around for more than 20 years, there are a lot of newcomers.)

Using mobile phones at work is strictly prohibited (they must be turned off or completely muted). You may only answer very urgent calls, but then you can’t hear the phone ringing anyway~ If your family needs to reach you, have them call the company’s landline.

You are also not allowed to eat at your desk or keep drinks there. There are many cameras in the office (pointed at the employees).

Official working hours are 08:00–17:00, but you have to arrive at the company by 07:50 to clean for the company for free (the company assigns sweeping duties to everyone; there is no cleaning lady~).

The company provides an employee trip once every two years. If you want to travel abroad with the group, you have to use annual leave; if you don’t join the overseas trip, you won’t be paid for that period (they say that since the office is closed, you can’t work either).

The company provides afternoon tea on Wednesdays, with a subsidy of NT$30 per person (ridiculous). If you order something more expensive, you have to go to the HR office and pay the difference yourself.

Here, you have to do everything. Basically, it’s very busy every day, “but there isn’t a single decent benefit!!!!” I advise those who just want to go in and see what it’s like, or those with better abilities, to think twice—and then think twice again—before accepting this job. (Don’t be like me and regret not checking the comments here before starting work. Avoid it if you can, and look for something better if you can find it.)

I heard that the long-serving employees at this company originally only had junior-high or high-school diplomas. Later, some consultant thought that didn’t look good, so now this company only has bachelor’s and master’s degree holders.
