The X Fruit Department is an absolute shit job.

The manager doesn’t care about sales at all; they only care about constantly putting products on the shelves.

They brought in a bunch of out-of-season cherries that nobody bought. They were left in the refrigerated display cases until they got crushed and started leaking juice.

Afterward, they told people to take everything out and clean the refrigerated display cases.

The evening shift has to sort through goods that are slightly spoiled,

cut off the moldy parts, and repackage them.

The problem is that the manager doesn’t care about sales in the morning at all,

and only focuses on putting products on the shelves,

which causes a bunch of things to grow mold.

There’s no way to finish sorting everything out in one night,

and you’ll still get yelled at the next day.

They also demand that the product displays be rearranged before the end of the shift,

just for the sake of appearance,

and that the display racks be periodically replaced and sent out for cleaning.

You can’t leave until it’s all done.

Before leaving, you also have to put some of the products back in the refrigerated display cases to keep them from getting moldy.

If there’s no room in your own department, you have to put them in other departments.

Every evening shift, you don’t get off work until after midnight. Security even comes up to chase people out, and you’re the last one to leave.

The manager works until 8 or 9, dumps the work on you, and then leaves happily.

When filling out the leave schedule, the manager casually takes one day off here and one day off there.

Student part-timers who are new have to work the full legally mandated hours.

If you finish putting things away too late and your clock-out time is too far past schedule, it may even get covered up.

When scolding people, the manager also says how great they were back in the day and that young people nowadays are strawberry-generation types.

Even though the manager simply didn’t listen carefully, misunderstood, and lashed out at people.

When they realize they can’t talk back after you explain, they get embarrassed and start trying to outshout you.

They seem a lot like a certain X Wei.
