● This establishment is “City Burger.” The owner was previously a Laya Burger franchisee and later switched to become a City Burger franchisee; they simply use the old Laya-era account to recruit staff.
1. Only group insurance is provided, with no labor or health insurance—this is illegal!
2. A deposit of NT$4,500 is withheld from the first paycheck, but this was not disclosed during the interview, violating Article 26 of the Labor Standards Act and constituting an illegal practice!
3. The owner calls employees during the early morning hours to ask them to come to work early, seriously interfering with their lives outside of work.
4. Employees are required to start ten minutes early and clock out according to the store’s clock, but the store clock is set ten minutes slow. It is usually impossible to leave at 2:00 a.m. on time, and staffing shortages often affect closing duties.
5. Although the store divides positions by job title, this is merely nominal. Regardless of the position, the owner requires employees to handle front-of-house work, kitchen work, beverage preparation, and food preparation, in addition to deliveries.
6. There are far too many reckless road users. If deliveries are required without labor and health insurance, an accident during a delivery would mean being unable to receive labor-insurance compensation for an occupational accident. Please think carefully before applying!
