● This restaurant is “City Burger.” The owner previously operated a Laya Burger franchise and later switched to a City Burger franchise, but recruits using the old account from the Laya period.
1. Only group insurance is provided; there is no labor or health insurance. This is illegal!
2. A NT$4,500 deposit is deducted from the first paycheck, but this was not disclosed during the interview, violating Article 26 of the Labor Standards Act. This is illegal!
3. The owner calls employees in the middle of the night to ask them to come in early, seriously interfering with their lives outside of work.
4. Employees are required to start work ten minutes early and clock out according to the store clock, but the store clock is set ten minutes slow. It is usually impossible to leave at 2:00 a.m. on time, and closing work is often affected by understaffing.
5. Although the restaurant divides positions, this is merely nominal. Regardless of the position, the owner requires employees to handle front-of-house duties, kitchen work, drink preparation, food preparation, and deliveries.
6. There are many reckless drivers on the roads. If the restaurant requires deliveries but does not provide labor and health insurance, employees who have an accident while making a delivery may be unable to receive workers’ compensation for an occupational injury. Please think carefully before applying!
